IMG_0317This is an excellent point for sore throat, throat spasms, and migraines.

In western convention this acupuncture point for migraines is known as LU 11 because it’s the eleventh point on the “lung” channel.  In Chinese the characters are少商which is Romanized as Shǎo Shāng and pronounced as “Shau Shong”.  The name means “Lesser Merchant” or “Lesser Trader.”  The point is found on the outer area of the thumb near the corner of the thumbnail on the thumb side, not the hand side.  For a clearer view, look at the diagram in the post or look in the video.

The point, in its classical indications revives consciousness, benefits the throat, and clears heat.
